Introducing the Sony DCR-SR65E hard disk based camcorder, a combination of simple operations and an extra-light weight body makes this compact camcorder a portable movie-making solution. Taking on an internal hard disk drive of 40GB, store up to around 27 hours and 40 minutes of MPEG2 video in the 3M (LP) mode or around 9 hours and 40 minutes in the 9M (HQ) mode. After shooting video footage, you can easily extract frames and save them as still images using nothing but the camcorder. Thanks to the nature of non-linear media, you don’t have to worry about over-writing recorded footage; new data is automatically written in blank, unrecorded space on the HDD. Moreover, you can immediately watch or erase newly recorded footage without rewinding. Just press the desired thumbnail on the 2.7-inch touch panel LCD.

The hybrid design of the DCR-SR65E also gives you extra flexibility by recording video footage and still images on the HDD, Memory Stick, or both media. Recorded files can be transferred from the HDD to Memory Stick. Operation is simplified by a 2.7-inch type wide LCD touch panel and hardware button on the left of the LCD that make low angle and self-portrait shooting a breeze. Matched with a 25x Optical Zoom Carl Zeiss lens, Sony gives you the power to capture nearby and faraway subjects with stunning, richly textured results. Sony’s Super SteadyShot image stabilization provides the blur-free assurance. With the Quick-On button, not a moment is missed with a 1 second leap into recording mode.
