The Sony DCR-SR45E is a standard definition camcorder that brings the convenience and joy of recording video and images to an internal Hard Disk Drive or Sony’s Memory Stick media. Offering a 30GB hard disk drive, the Sony SR45E allows plenty of storage and capacity to store your precious captures. The internal hard disk can allow up to 7 hours recording in HQ (DVD-quality) mode and up to 20 hours in LP mode. With a Carl Zeiss 40x optical zoom lens, this lens ensures excellent clarity and sharpness while giving users ample zoom power to get closer to their subjects without picture degradation. Super SteadyShot stabilization protects images from blurring and offers capable shooting in low light.

Videos are recorded in the widely-used MPEG-2 format enabling higher image quality while taking up lesser storage space. Recording audio in the Dolby Digital 2 channel format, a built-in zoom microphone provides linkage of audio to video during the zooming process.
